
Sarah Adams
Sarah Adams is Chief Sustainability Officer and co-founder at Vert Asset Management, a firm founded to bridge the gap between financial services, capital markets, an environmental advocacy. In her role at Vert, Sarah focuses on dialogue with the companies we invest in, advocacy with regulators and government, and being a model sustainable business.
Sarah has multidisciplinary experience across the finance sector and environmental policy. Before Vert, Sarah started a consultancy educating financial advisors on sustainable and impact investing in the U.K. and U.S. Previously, Sarah worked on social finance initiatives for advocacy NGOs in the U.K. at the WWF and Forum for the Future. She started her career in institutional finance at Dimensional Fund Advisors and Grantham Mayo Van Otterloo (GMO). Sarah is passionate about sustainability education for financial services. She is a teacher for the Chartered SRI CounselorSM (CSRIC®) and she sits on the USSIF Education Committee. She earned the CFA UK Certificate in ESG Investing and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Boards FSA Credential.
She has a bachelor’s degree in history from UCLA, a MSc in Environment and Sustainable Development from University College London (U.K.), and a MA in Environmental Law from SOAS (U.K.)
