Sandra Vazquez

My name is Sandra Vazquez, and I am a Student Support Specialist for the College for Financial Planning - A Kaplan Company.

In my current role, I assist and help our students and alumni with various needs throughout their time in the College. I am, most likely, all student's first point of contact when they're in need of assistance. I pride myself in being supportive, attentive and professional. I have also been a classroom teacher for K-12 aged students. I really enjoy assisting students in their education journey; whether that is learning the ABCs, or working with students in crafting and editing college entrance exams, or making sure that I have provided everything they need to be ready to sit for the CFP exam.

I hold a Bachelors degree in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Houston. While I loved what I studied, I think my work experience in the classroom, on the phone and behind desks has provided me with the tools necessary to be of service to others.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling end immersing myself in other cultures. I spent 10 years teaching abroad in various countries throughout Asia and Europe, and those have been, up to this point, the best years of my life. I have decided to finally root down in Cleveland, Ohio and I'm looking forward to building a life and a community here. But I don't think the trips will ever stop.
