Russell Clifford, CFP®, is a veteran of more than 35 years in the financial planning profession. The firm he created, Clifford Financial Planning, Inc., is a comprehensive planning firm focused on helping women and men navigate the major life transitions that come with widowhood or divorce. Clifford Financial Planning, Inc., specializes in designing strategies for the creation, preservation, and transfer of wealth.
Russell is a sought-after expert on the intricacies of planning for those who have been widowed or divorced, as well as tax and estate planning for successful business owners and families. As a noted speaker, author, and educator, he has built his career helping clients to identify and achieve their personal financial goals.
Russell started in the financial services industry in 1989, and has successfully built his company into an independent, fee-only, comprehensive financial planning and wealth management firm in California. He serves clients throughout the United States. He has written industry articles; co-hosted a very popular radio talk show; and has taught hundreds of families, individuals, and business owners how to achieve financial freedom.
Russell currently serves on the national Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association and is an adjunct professor for the College of Financial Planning. Russell is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He holds a bachelor's degree in theological studies from the King’s University, with a minor in counseling, and has earned the coveted CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) certification, as well as the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) credential. He is also Certified Police Chaplain and Critical Stress Incident Debriefer.
