Michael Snowdon, CFP® has been in the financial planning field for more than 30 years. As a
speaker and educator, he has traveled around the world advancing financial planning education and talking about current issues in financial planning. Michael has provided consultation services to the financial planning organizations in several countries, including South Korea, Japan, Israel, South Africa, Turkey, Thailand, and Singapore, and is also a contributing author to financial industry publications.
In addition to being the education director for the international CFP® oversight body, Michael has owned a wealth management and financial planning firm as well as being an insurance agent, securities broker, and registered principal. Michael’s focus in financial planning is to coach people in the process of meeting their goals and achieving their dreams. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and the CRPC® and ABFP™ designations, has earned degrees in education and psychology, and has logged many hours in additional professional studies. Michael is a personal financial planner and is honored to be professor emeritus at the College for Financial Planning.
