Karin is a veteran business leader, Certified Financial Planner™, Accredited Investment Fiduciary™, and 21/64 Certified Philanthropic Advisor™ who has served multi-generational families, the financial planning profession, and the greater public with integrity, intellectual rigor, and servant leadership for over three decades.
Karin earned the CFP® designation through the College for Financial Planning in 1990. As a CFP® professional, her life’s work is to enable people to “Go confidently into the direction of their dreams” by managing every facet of their personal wealth into one cohesive plan that enriches life and legacy in meaningful ways.
Prior to joining Wealthspire Advisors as a Managing Director in 2024, Karin co-founded Walden Wealth Partners, an all-women boutique wealth management firm after two decades with firms in Chicago, Boston, and Cleveland serving high-net-worth and institutional clients. She is fortunate to have been mentored by the profession’s pioneers and thought leaders.
Karin has served as Investment Trustee for the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund since being appointed by the Ohio Treasurer of State in 2015. Karin is a board member of the Hudson Community Foundation and Miami University’s Women Giving Circle. Previously, she served on the National Board of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and co-founded the FPA’s pro bono program. Her professional recognition includes the FPA Heart of Financial Planning and Crain’s Cleveland Notable Wealth Manager awards.
In her spare time, Karin is an avid runner, enjoys traveling to new destinations, and playing ball with her dog Remy. She cherishes time spent with her husband and their three sons and daughters-in-law.
