The personal financial planning major is a general course of study, emphasizing the traditional areas of financial planning and integrating the CFP Certification Professional Education Program courses. The personal financial planning major requires completion of 39 semester hours of credit (13 courses) with an overall grade-point average of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN FINANCE (M.S.F.)

The M.S.F. degree offers advanced financial education that builds on a foundation of business, economics, and quantitative skills. The program is designed to offer a strong conceptual understanding of finance to develop the student’s analytical and critical thinking abilities. This major emphasizes technical competence, application of financial tools to decision-making, value creation for stakeholders, and professional responsibility and ethics. You are required to complete 36-48 semester hours of credit (12-16 courses) with an overall grade-point average of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN FINANCE (M.S.F.), FINANCIAL ANALYSIS MAJOR

The financial analysis major focuses on investment techniques and strategies that students can immediately put to use, and incorporates the CFA Institute Body of Knowledge. The in-depth investment knowledge is presented via real-world situations and case scenarios that students are able to translate and put to use in the situations they may face with clients.
